OpenAI Starts Rolling Out Its ‘Her’-Like Voice Mode for ChatGPT

There are very few moments in my life where I felt as if I was propelled into the future, like when I first took my hands off the steering wheel of a Tesla X and it drove me down the West Side Highway.

This week marks another such moment with the rollout of Advanced Voice Mode for ChatGPT, now available to select ChatGPT Plus subscribers like myself.

This OpenAI update transforms the way you interact with AI, allowing for natural conversations that feel genuinely human. It can sense and respond to a user’s emotional cues through vocal tone and delivery. Frankly, it was easier to talk to ChatGPT than to some of my former work colleagues.

The AI model not only understands emotional tones but also responds dynamically, making interactions remarkably engaging and fluid. You can interrupt mid-sentence, and it apologizes. ChatGPT feels less like a tool and more like a conversational partner with infinite knowledge.

This technological leap could revolutionize how we utilize AI in our daily lives, from personal assistance to creative collaboration
