Kevin Sheekey is chairman for external relations overseeing marketing, communications and government relations at Bloomberg LP, and focuses on expanding Bloomberg’s global presence.
Kevin returned to Bloomberg LP in April 2010 after serving as Deputy Mayor for Government Affairs in New York City since 2006. In his role at City Hall, Kevin oversaw Local, State and Federal government relations. Prior to his appointment, Kevin was Campaign Manager for Mayor Bloomberg’s re-election campaign in 2005. From 2003 to 2004, Kevin was President of the New York City Host Committee for the 2004 Republican National Convention. Kevin first joined City Hall as Senior Advisor to the Mayor after running the Bloomberg for Mayor campaign in 2001. Previously, he was the chief lobbyist for Bloomberg LP in Washington, DC.
Earlier in his career, Sheekey served as Chief of Staff to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Kevin and his wife, Robin, and their twins, Dillon and Samantha, live on the Upper West Side.
